Jesus once said that he came to bring and offer the fullest version of life possible (John 10). In the Bible we see people flourish when they encounter Jesus no matter their past, struggles, or season of life.
God has always intended for people to live in fruitful relationship not only with him, but with others. Without other people, we cannot become who we are called to be or do what He has called us to do. These relationships are meant to be a reflection of God Himself, who exists in perfect, eternal relationship as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. “God is love, and whoever abides in love, abides in God.” (1 John 4:16)
In Christ, we are perfectly loved, eliminating our fear and pride. He binds our wounds and remakes our hearts. In relationship, there is no longer a need to use others because we have everything we need in Christ. Like God, we can relate to others by giving and receiving, never taking or hoarding or flinching. Not because the world is suddenly safe, but because He always is.
Over the next six weeks, we will be asking God to help us flourish in the seasons of life we currently find ourselves in and how we can support the flourishing of others who are in different seasons. Download the resources below to help go deeper in the material and cultivate a flourishing life.
